The host was friendly, though they don’t really speak English. There’s a hot spring in the hotel basement. The price is affordable, and it’s about a three-minute walk from Echigo yuzawa station.

The owners are very kind and helpful. The electronics they provide are impressive, all high-end and in good condition. My room even had foot and back massage machines, and there’s a drying room, washing machines, and a ski board storage area with lockers in the shared space. It’s an old building, but it’s been kept in very good shape. The station’s east exit is a six-minute walk away. I’d stay again on my next trip.
