The outdoor onsen was especially enjoyable, even though the bath area is a little small. Everything else made us wish we could stay longer. The ryokan is beautiful in the snow, and the views from the room and walkways were picture perfect. Staff were thoughtful, friendly, and helpful, and the amenities were all there. You can even borrow rain boots if your shoes aren’t waterproof. There’s a small playroom for kids up to six, complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, and alcohol and snacks in the evening. Echigoyuzawa Station is a 3-5 minute walk away, though you can also request a shuttle to the station. There’s a 7-Eleven nearby, too. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a private onsen in our room, and I absolutely loved it. There are public and private onsens available, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and they welcomed us with matcha drinks. The hotel is close to Echigo Yuzawa station and offers a free shuttle to and from the hotel. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Our first ryokan stay in Japan was well worth it. The service was helpful and impressive, and the location is convenient, about a five-minute walk from the Shinkansen station with a 7-Eleven nearby. I’d stay at this ryokan again on a future visit to Yuzawa.

We were an English-speaking group traveling with a two-year-old, and they made us feel very welcome. There’s a kids’ playroom on the first floor. The private onsen was relaxing and tattoo friendly, and the beds were comfortable. We added breakfast, which was delicious. The hotel is right by the station, with comfortable rooms, friendly service, and great food.

The drying room was a real highlight for skiing and snowboarding gear. The hotel is older, but spotless, with friendly staff. There aren’t many rooms, so it feels peaceful, and the onsen was never crowded. A few times I had it entirely to myself. Our room was huge, and dinner and breakfast were both pretty good, around 7.5 out of 10 for me. The in-room bathroom felt dated, but we used the onsen to shower, so it wasn’t a big deal. A fantastic option in Yuzawa, and I’d consider staying again.
