The staff made my stay at Abai Lodge feel especially welcoming. I had a great time there, and the warm atmosphere added to it. The food was amazing too, especially the mbuzi, cooked just right and packed with flavor. I’d definitely recommend Abai Lodge for the food and friendly service.

The landscaping was the best part for me, beautiful and peaceful. The room was comfortable, with some thoughtful design details, and the food was good. Service was about 7/10. Housekeeping needs work. The bathroom wasn’t up to standard: there was green mold on the bidet nozzle, the toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned, and cobwebs and large spiders were in the corners. The shower dispensers also weren’t labeled, so it was hard to tell the gel from the shampoo. The approach road could be safer too. It’s narrow, has sharp bends, and visibility of oncoming traffic is poor. Convex mirrors would help. A lovely place, but cleanliness and road safety need attention.

Privacy is what this place does best, and I’d recommend it for a getaway from Nairobi. It can also host big corporate groups for team building or workshops. The rooms were good, and the sauna and spa are worth a try. Getting around was confusing on my first visit. There are gates all over, which made the place feel smaller than it is. Service could be better too, since some staff weren’t very friendly. Lunch at the buffet didn’t make much sense to me: chapati came with boiled meat instead of stew, and the food was average. With a few small improvements, this could be a really good place. Worth trying.

Abai lodges & spa is set in a peaceful spot a short distance off the main road. The access road is good, and the service is quality. It’s a great place for a staycation or holiday, and one to keep in mind.

The fish fillet is on another level, and I really enjoyed the food. The rooms are great too, from the top notch deluxe cottages and apartments to the VIP rooms, which are worth trying. There are two swimming pools, and the water is well balanced. The whole ecosystem feels warm. It’s in a great location, and the owner is a friendly chap. Recommended any time!
