This used to be a safe Heven, but the past year has been scary. Goons have attacked the place severely, the lights and lifts in my block were shut down for months, management and payment methods changed with very poor communication, and now we’ve had no water for almost a week, since Thursday 14/08/2025. It’s now 19/8/25. There hasn’t even been an apology email or newsletter. Apparently there’s a WhatsApp group, but I know nothing about it. Do better, cytonn.

The ambience and location make this place worth the price. It was fully equipped, even with a wash and dry machine, and wonderfully peaceful with no loud, irritating noise. I liked it enough to extend my stay by a week 😁😁

Getting to 2 rivers mall, village market, and the bypass is easy from here, and the apartments themselves are beautiful with plenty of space. That combination makes the place really tempting to move into.

The water cuts out regularly, and some lifts are out of service. The ones that do run are covered in awful green material. Laundry lines are shared downstairs, even for people living on the 10th floor. The drive in should have put me off: aging, unfinished buildings dating from the 2020 Cytonn scandal, rusty mabati, and a road so rough that small cars struggle. For me, it’s one of the worst places to live in Ruaka. You pay premium rent for conditions that feel like a slum, with an affordable-housing look and a middle-class price tag.
