The rooms feel homely and well put together, and the food is really good. There's a pool and lovely green space too, all in a place that feels like a hidden gem. And they have the gentlest, most amazing Black German Shepherd 😍

The pool area is amazing, with a rocky design that makes it stand out. It's a quiet, uncrowded place, good for families, and the staff are welcoming. The menu doesn't offer much variety. If you want a pool day with the kids, this is a good choice.

A calm, peaceful setting for a small gathering, whether it's a birthday, graduation lunch, private event, or conference.

The pool has a rock theme, just as the name suggests, and makes for a distinctive swimming spot in Karen. It was okay, and at 500 per person on a weekday, very affordable for the area. The place has potential, though it needs more maintenance. Since the pool isn't very large, I'd go with just a small group of friends. Service was okay too.

The dining experience was poor value at Kes1,500 (approx US$10) per plate. There were only two proteins, I think mutton and chicken, along with two starches and vegetables, and I was surprised that you could serve yourself only once. Service was poor as well. They seemed overwhelmed, but management should have brought in more staff, even just for that day. The pool has only one shower, which is also the toilet, and that's bad. The crowd seemed to be younger, rowdy visitors looking for a loud daytime pool party, with little awareness of other guests or etiquette. One young woman took my daughter's slippers while she was in the pool. That kind of behavior will put other guests off, and families will avoid those crowds. Management needs to decide who they're trying to attract. This hidden place is in a residential area and has a lot of potential if these issues are sorted out. Rock House has a clever outdoor rock theme inspired by Mount Kenya, but it feels poorly managed and only partly realized. Security was practically absent at the premises. Although the gated community has a private security company and a barrier controlling entry and exit, there wasn't a single guard at the property itself. We visited during a busy festive period, and it was clear as soon as we drove in that staff were stretched thin. Visitors parked carelessly and blocked the driveway.
