Mara Duma Bush Camp

The camp is very close to Talek Gate, which makes it convenient for safari access. Our tent was comfortable and well kept, and housekeeping made sure it stayed that way. At dinner each night, the staff set up our beds with mosquito nets and left hot water bags to keep them warm. Meals were well organized throughout our stay, so things felt easy and worry-free. Even our packed food for game drives came with everything we needed, including plates and cutlery. We had a wonderful time at Mara Duma Bush Camp and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maasai Mara.

Krishna cooked outstanding food and was happy to make dishes like noodles and butter chicken to our requests. For safari, they prepared freshly cooked rice, chicken, paratha, and vegetable curry instead of the usual packed meals. The campfire and BBQ they arranged for us made the stay even more memorable. The camp is right beside the Masai Mara Reserve. Our rooms were clean, and we had power around the clock. Since animals sometimes come near the Talek River, a guard stayed outside at night. Roni was especially helpful and the staff were wonderful overall. We had nothing to complain about and would highly recommend the camp. Local women visit in the mornings to sell souvenirs, and you can often find the best prices from them. One small inconvenience: with Talek Gate so close, trucks and jeeps can be heard early in the morning.

I spent 6 nights here on safari in Masai Mara. The camp was peaceful, with views of the park from our room. At night, we heard hyenas laughing and saw hippos walking along the stream. The staff were always helpful and had a great attitude. These are camp memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life.

We could see Masai Mara from our balcony, and Talek Gate was just a one-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and had attached washrooms. The employees were welcoming, and the food was fantastic. Rony coordinated the restaurant and was a nice man. Krishna, the head chef, was very cordial with us and prepared food to our liking. It was a great experience overall.
