The bungalow was lovely, and the property is beautiful, full of happy plants, avocado trees, a jackfruit tree and flowers. The young family who run the place and look after it are friendly, kind and helpful. The owner’s wife makes a delicious range of breakfasts, and will clean the room every day if you want. It’s a little out of town, but only a short walk from the large lake, with restaurants around it. Some of them have Khmer menus only. We loved staying here and would come back.

The owners were lovely and catered to everything we needed. Our spacious room was clean, and the air conditioning was a real blessing in the end-of-dry-season heat. It’s a little way out of town, but not far, and kind tuk tuk drivers were happy to take us wherever we wanted. Breakfast was tasty Cambodian food, with a more European-style option if you prefer. There are also cafes and restaurants within walking distance around the lake, and the food there was very nice. We really enjoyed Ban Lung and recommend Green Plateau Lodge as a nice place to stay.

There’s a big meadow where children can run around, and it’s quiet and peaceful, so I’d recommend this place for families too. Our room was spacious and clean, with nice beds and furniture. Sopheap and his wife were very friendly and helped us rent motorbikes, which you’ll probably need to get to town, as well as plan our day trips. Very good value.
