Cambana La Riviere Boutique

Room 209 was lovely and spacious, with a small balcony facing the hotel gym and no other rooms looking straight in. The beds and pillows were comfortable, so we slept really well. The hotel sits on a quiet road on the east bank of the river, but the French Quarter, its little restaurants and the old market are an easy walk away. The restaurant has a nice breakfast buffet and an omelette station. They kept replenishing the food, so it wasn't left sitting out all morning, and the omelettes were excellent. The hotel looks beautiful, and the staff were attentive, informative and very helpful.

The hotel's more central than it first looks, with restaurants and coffee shops about a five-minute stroll away. There's a spa two minutes from the hotel that gets great reviews, but sadly it was fully booked all day. The market and pub street are a fifteen-minute walk across the river. The pool is clean and refreshing, with sunbeds, towels and even pillows, and it sits in the middle of the hotel surrounded by greenery. Breakfast has plenty of variety, and the egg station makes delicious fresh omelettes. Staff are professional and more than helpful. Rooms are large, clean and well equipped, though mould and scale in the shower let the place down. The bar serves cocktails, beer and spirits. This comes very close to being a five-star resort.

The riverside setting was peaceful and still convenient for seeing the city. We loved the gorgeous pool area and the spacious, modern rooms at Cambana La Rivière, where we stayed in December 2025. Mr. Orleang, Mr. Bunn Sunn and the whole team were welcoming, professional and attentive to every detail. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The views were amazing, breakfast was great and I had fun with the egg bar each time. The staff were very flexible, too. Friends who came by could use the pool and have breakfast for a small fee, which was kind of them. With our late bus, they let us leave our bags there and keep using the public facilities after checkout. Great value, and I'd stay again. The pool water wasn't as clean as I'd hoped, and the location was a little farther from the main strip than I pictured. It's not too far, but the hotel is tucked down a side road.
