Royal Hotel

The hotel has a lot of charm, and our suite had a huge bed. Staff were incredibly helpful and could arrange most things, from Tuesday tuks to buses. They also sell souvenirs at reasonable prices. It's a short walk to many restaurants, and close to Boeung Chhouk Market as well as the Central market, where you can get sweet pork and rice with coffee early in the morning. We'll definitely stay again.

The receptionist was excellent. We got back really late, and she slept at reception until we returned so she could unlock the door for us. We only stayed one night, but the location was just what we needed, close to the local shops and restaurants. It's not luxurious and needs updating. The ceiling fan was ancient, the electric shower didn't work, and the regular shower only had cold water.

We barely saw or heard other guests at this large hotel, so it felt quiet and made for a good night's rest. The location is great for Battambang's popular restaurants, and they picked us up from the Vet bus station in a tuk-tuk, which was awesome. The rooms are dated, but large and clean, with hot water and decent WiFi. My only gripe is that there aren't many electrical outlets.

We stayed three nights and were very satisfied. The room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed, and the bed was big and comfortable. Dina at reception was always kind and happy to help. She went the extra mile when we rented a scooter, offering to put it in a locked garage at night instead of leaving it outside. We really recommend this hotel, and want to thank Dina again.
