The people were super nice, and the room was clean with a strong shower. Breakfast was great too. It’s a good location, a couple of blocks from the river on a quieter street. Wifi was as good as it gets in these parts, mostly stable, though not especially fast.

We enjoyed our stay at this very nice independent, family-owned hotel. The nights were quiet, and I want to thank all the staff. During the day there was noise from across the street, though we couldn’t tell whether it came from construction or the polytechnic school.

The owners are kind and helpful, and breakfast was good. It’s conveniently located. This old colonial-style hotel has loads of character, while the rooms are simple, clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep.

The breakfast was the best we had on the tour: great coffee, excellent gluten-free baguettes made with cassava flour, and banana muffins. They even made our friend a wonderful chocolate birthday cake for our arrival. Service was very good, and the location is great, within walking distance of the river. I also appreciate their green approach of using glass water bottles. Our main issue was the AC. We were booked as a group and got room 9, with a king bed, but it was tiny. There wasn’t room to open two suitcases, and there was one odd window high above the toilet tank 🙃. We asked to move and were put in a room with two twin beds, but the air conditioning wouldn’t stay on and the rooms struggled to cool down. No TV and no elevator.
