The service was so sweet, and the manager who greeted us, I think the hotel manager or customer experience manager, was friendly, outgoing and gave us great service. I absolutely loved staying here. Our villa was beautiful, clean and spacious. We’d go back to the island just to stay at this amazing resort again.

The beachfront villa needs some practical fixes before it feels worth the price. Mosquitoes got into our Beach View Villa through the unsealed bathroom, and I was badly bitten overnight. A bed net and room spray would help. There was only one socket, nowhere near the bed, and nowhere to hang wet clothes or swimwear. The lights were either all on or all off, and the wall lights were apparently just decorative and not wired up. The switch wasn’t by the bed either. WiFi was really poor. There are plenty of good points: the beach is clean, the food is tasty, breakfast has lots of choice, and the bar prices are good. Nas, the bar manager, makes a great cocktail. The pool was clean, with sunbeds, towels and paddleboards available. You can see bioluminescent plankton, but need to swim away from the bright resort lights. Staff were incredibly helpful when we raised the problems. I’d come back, but would book a Sea View Room instead. They’re a bit cheaper, sealed, and had great WiFi. With a few easy changes, the place could be perfect.

There’s loads of space for the kids to run around, and the pool is very large and nice. We’re here for six nights with our small children and are still staying. The property is spacious, the views are the best, and the staff are very friendly and do their best to help with everything. They’re finishing the last bit of construction around the poolbar, which should be done soon. There’s a lot of sand, of course, but it’s a beach resort. If you don’t like sand, stay on the mainland :)

We were excited for our four-night stay, especially given the price, but the experience fell short. The first room had gaps around the doors and in the bathroom roof, so mosquitoes kept getting in. We were badly bitten every night despite spending ages trying to get rid of them. Better seals or mosquito nets would help. The bathroom also had clumps of hair on the floor and bits of rubbish, though the rest of the room was generally fine. The worst part happened on our third night, when we saw a rat inside the room twice. We’d heard scratching in the roof from the first night and thought it was an animal outside at first. We reported it right away. A staff member came to check, but the response felt dismissive and there was no apology. We were told rats sometimes come in and that we couldn’t move because the resort was full. It was late, getting around the island at night is difficult, and there are no taxis, so we had no realistic way to go elsewhere. We stayed awake listening to squeaking and scratching for most of the night. The next day we spoke with the manager. He dismissed us at first, but eventually apologised and moved us to another room for our final night. That room was much better, with no obvious gaps. We were disappointed that no refund or partial compensation was offered for the sleepless night. We know wildlife is part of island life, but didn’t expect rats to get into guest rooms at a resort like this. It felt unsafe and took away from what should have been a relaxing stay. The shower was hot, the AC was good, most of the staff were lovely, the beach was beautiful, and we really appreciated the free paddle boards. Better room sealing and cleaning checks, along with a more empathetic response to serious problems, could make this place wonderful. The rat, and especially how the situation was handled, spoiled the stay for us.
