Sok San Long Beach Bungalow

The beach was fantastic, with clear water and sand visible beneath your feet. There’s a local village nearby with good food, though the hotel is far from the pier to Sihanoukville. Nights are quiet, with little entertainment, so it suits a peaceful, relaxing stay more than someone looking for things to do. The rooms were small, with uneven wooden floors and poor soundproofing. Outdoor facilities felt old, and beyond lounge chairs there was little usable public space. Breakfast was included and acceptable, and the staff were friendly, but the overall place needs better maintenance. The owners should consider that.

The one thing this place has going for it is its beach location. The rooms didn’t look like the pictures we’d seen, and the outdated AC and fan didn’t ventilate the room well. The bathroom smelled awful because the toilet is in the shower. We paid over 100 a night, and it wasn’t worth it. The place needs a lot of TLC. If you want to feel like you’re on Survivor, this is the spot.

Only the beach was nice. The walkways felt dangerous, with nails sticking out, the staff ignored guests, and breakfast was awful. The rooms smelled of urine and excrement, and the internet was listed as included but never worked. Four stars are completely unjustified. I don’t recommend it. 👎👎👎

The beach was one of the prettiest I’ve seen, though getting to the island isn’t easy and the weather or ocean can quickly change your plans. The rooms were old and poorly maintained. Restaurant prices were pretty high, especially when they charged in $$$😅
