It’s a simple hotel in a great location, but our street-facing room was pretty noisy at 2am.

This was a bad experience. By EU standards, I’d rate it at most 3 stars, not 5. It also cost more and felt lower quality than other 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at in the country. The front desk was probably the worst part of the stay. The staff seemed inexperienced. For our honeymoon, the hotel left rose petals in our room as a complimentary gift, then tried to charge us for them, saying “the sheets were dirty.” They showed me a zoomed-in iPhone picture as evidence. At check-in, you also have to sign a paper saying you’ll be charged $10 if you lose your key card, and that the hotel takes no responsibility if something “disappears” from your room, among other things I’ve forgotten. You have to request room cleaning in advance, either by calling the front desk or hanging a please clean sign on the door. We did both, but our room still hadn’t been cleaned when we got back hours later. We left at 10am and returned at 3pm. Cheap-looking and bad overall, not what I expected. There are many better options in town.

The staff were amazing, so kind and helpful throughout my three-week stay. I’ll always be grateful to them. The facilities were clean, and I didn’t see a single bug in my room during those three weeks. Everything was super clean. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view, and every room has a balcony, which is a great plus.

They charged me $32.50 for two towels and a pillowcase, saying the hair dye on them couldn’t be cleaned. I paid, then put the large towel in a washing machine and the stain came right off without any effort. They hadn’t even tried washing it. They just judged by how it looked and claimed they had already tried, which didn’t make sense. The towel was also the same dirty one I’d used the previous time.
