The pool was the standout for me, but my two months at K Residence in Phnom Penh were difficult enough that I ended my long-term lease after only 20 days. I lost my $800 deposit, and for nearly two months I slept poorly, depending on earplugs and white noise. It affected my rest and daily routine. Noise was the biggest problem. The walls seemed hollow, so sounds carried and vibrated through the unit. In Unit 1108, I often heard neighbors late at night, moving furniture or playing the TV loudly. I could hear a neighbor's TV from across the apartment, even in the bedroom. Management tried to respond to some complaints, but this seemed like a building-wide problem. They also didn't consistently address non-structural noise, such as TVs playing at 2-3am, after the quiet hours stated in our lease. I was first given Unit 708, which needed more cleaning before move-in. Its other problem was the HH Bank neon sign across the street, which shone right into the apartment from around 6:00pm to 9:00pm and lit up the whole space. I was later moved to Unit 1108, where the light was better, though the cleaning still wasn't consistent. A couple of staff members were polite and responsive at times, but overall the stay fell short in several important ways. There is potential here. Better cleaning, sound insulation, and noise management would make a real difference for future tenants.

The internet can be really slow and sometimes won't load. The newly built community does have a gym and swimming pool.
