Poolside Villa

One of our favourite places we stayed in Cambodia. We had a small private room, but it had what we needed and a comfortable bed. Bassac Street is close by, though the hotel itself stays quiet. The pool area has a lovely atmosphere for relaxing, and happy hour was good too.

The food was inexpensive, but the quality was poor enough that we didn't think it was worth eating. The tours on display also seemed misleading and bad value. Boxing was listed at 8.5USD pp with free transport, but the boxing itself was free to attend and the 8.5USD pp was for a tuk tuk. We took Grab instead and paid 2USD each way. The prison and killing fields tour was 15 USD, though booking taxis separately is much cheaper since the driver doesn't have to wait for you. We did like the rooms: they were large, with a big bed and comfortable mattress. The wifi was very good, and it was quiet at night despite loud music downstairs. The location was good, beside a busy street.

A local food market is just a few blocks away, and Chinatown is close too. The location also makes it easy to get to the lively pool, dining options, and a breakfast that's reasonably priced.

We had everything we needed in the rooms, plus some of the most comfortable pillows we've had on our travels. The staff were kind and friendly, and the location was excellent.
