For $20, the central location beside Central Market and the large rooms make this a decent deal. There’s a bed that’s fine, plus a balcony, fridge, air con, safe, bathroom, fairly good WiFi, plenty of satellite sports channels and breakfast. The building looks worn, though there are still some quality old pieces of furniture around. It was quiet inside, likely because occupancy was low. The staff were friendly and nice. I wasn’t much taken with the breakfast, but that could just be my taste. The area might feel a little unsafe late at night. You do get what you pay for.

I’ve stayed at the Asia Hotel four or five times over the years without any trouble. It’s a good spot and the staff are friendly enough. For $20 or $25 a night, what more would you expect? I’m heading to Phnom Penh in February '24 and will probably stay there again.

The breakfast had a good range and was delicious, and it was served from 7 AM. I shared a clean, cozy two-bed room with a friend, which worked out nicely. A good choice if you’re not fussy about accommodation luxuries.

The staff were nice and the location was good. Everything else was horrible. We had to change rooms twice and should have checked them first. The first smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke it was like someone was still smoking in there. The second had a decomposing smell that made my girlfriend and me gag when we walked in. The third smelled moldy. After 13 hours of travel we just wanted to rest, and only noticed that smell after we got in. In the morning, there was mouse poo on the window frame. This isn’t just a case of getting what you pay for.

I found the stay acceptable, though I wasn’t very satisfied. The location was good, the facilities were a bit old but clean, the maid was friendly, and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature even without AC. The pillows and mattress cover smelled of balm and made me dizzy. Some lamps were broken, there was no tissue, and the AC remote didn’t work. I contacted staff twice without anyone coming to check, then they came on the third try. There was no tea or coffee, though that didn’t matter to me. The WiFi was slow and unstable, so my online meeting was difficult. It was a bit noisy for anyone who likes quiet.
