Villa Grange

We found a pool and a really good hotel on a surprisingly quiet street near Phnom Penh's royal palace. There was even live music playing in the afternoon when we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was neat and comfortable, though a little dark. The AC worked well, and I liked that the toilet was in its own room rather than part of the bathroom.

The hotel is a handy base, only about a six-minute walk from the palace and other main sights. I accidentally left my money behind when checking out, but Patrick and his team sorted it out quickly and treated me with real kindness and professionalism. Patrick and his colleagues are consistently helpful.

My big motorbike was parked securely thanks to the owner, which I really appreciated. The place is tucked on a back street near several restaurants and coffee shops, so the location is great. Friendly staff, manager, and owner, with service to match. The bed and pillows were good, and there was satellite TV, AC, hot water, cold draft beer, and good food. I'll be back 😁

The staff made us feel special and took good care of us, and Tony deserves a special thank you too. We ended up using Villa Grange as our base for a month, returning each time for another week, three weeks in total. It was our first trip to Cambodia and Phnom Penh, and we loved staying here. The quiet, tree-lined street is near boutiques, wine bars, and cafes, with the Kings Palace and National Gardens within walking distance. It has an authentic French Provincial boutique feel, big rooms, a four-poster bed, and a fabulous balcony. After sightseeing in the heat, the gleaming pool was inviting, and the extensive Khmer and Western menu was excellent. Meals and drinks were very reasonably priced. We also stayed at the sister hotel in Siam Reap, Grange Hotel, where Dom was a welcoming manager, and the hotel and pool were fantastic too. Hopefully we'll see Tony again. Peter and Linda, Qld.
