Swimming at O'Malu Falls was a highlight. We rode most of the way there, then walked about 10 minutes up a steep slope and across a stream with no bridge. The falls spread over a basalt formation, with several spots to swim in the cascade or in the pool below. The rapids are another nice place to swim and see local life, though in the dry season the water moves pretty slowly. They’re a series of rafts over flat rocks. The house itself is simple and affordable, with great value. Samwin, the owner, was friendly and relaxed, doing what he could to make us comfortable. He may also rent you his motorcycle so you can get around and explore.
