Ms Leak speaks good English, and the place is family-run. Our family room was spacious, with two double beds, and there was free car parking. Some basic things like soap and shampoo weren't provided. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but it was just bread, jam, and coffee, very basic and could be improved a little. It's in town, though about a two-hour drive from Preah Vihear Temple.

The common spaces feel inviting, with a sunny lounge, living room, and a place to dine in. The rooms are cozy and nicely decorated, with scenic views, and combine rustic charm with modern comfort. Attentive staff make the place feel warm and welcoming, like a home away from home.

The young woman in charge speaks excellent English, and the guesthouse seems very tuned in to what travelers need. The rooms were incredibly clean, with a fridge and kettle, and the WiFi was flying. They provide a basic breakfast, and there's a cozy, relaxed outdoor seating area on the top-floor terrace. The shop next door sells cold drinks, and it was close to the only restaurant in town that appealed to me. They sorted out reasonably priced transport for me to the jungle temple of Preah Khan Kampong Svay, which I'd tried to reach from four different places this year and last year. They also arranged a shared taxi to my next stop, with pickup right outside the guesthouse. Fan rooms are available too, though that option isn't listed online. I didn't book online, and it was cheaper to just show up. This place is a real gem, especially if you've been traveling off Cambodia's tourist trail for a while. It's a bit far from the town center, though there's not much there anyway. To me, it's easily the best place for foreigners to stay in town.

The owners were very hospitable, and there is parking. They provide a simple breakfast of coffee and toast, along with wonderful views. One of the best hotels I've visited in Asia.
