Golden Butterfly Villa

The hotel was always neat and clean, and the location was perfect. Whenever we came back in or came downstairs in the morning or evening, the reception staff greeted us. They also welcomed us at the start with tasty banana chips, a refreshing drink, and wet towels. Such nice hospitality!

Navin looked after us so well, always attentive, thorough, and ready to help. We also got to use the lovely pool at their sister property, which was a really nice surprise. Golden Butterfly Villa is about a five-minute walk from Pub Street, but set back from the main roads, so it stays peaceful. The rooms were spotless. There's a school next door and mornings can get lively; they told us when we arrived, and as early risers we didn't mind. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were the real highlight, always smiling, greeting us, and ready to help with anything. They also run tours to see the temples in one day, catch the circus, and more. Our room was huge, with a fan, air conditioning, and a fridge. The shower had strong, warm water, and there was even a hair dryer. Laundry was quick too, back within 24 hours, folded and ready to pack. We were welcomed with cold lemon tea and banana chips, then given a pack with Cambodian phrases, a letter from the owner, and a city map. One of the best places we've stayed while traveling around Southeast Asia.

I stayed for a week at the end of January, and the hotel was clean throughout, from the lobby to my room. It sits on a small side street away from the main road, so the location was quiet. They mentioned the school in front might make some daytime noise, but I never found it a problem and appreciated the heads-up. The staff were fantastic, polite, welcoming, and helpful all the time. On arrival I got a drink and chips, plus a local map and a sheet of useful phrases. I hope to come back and would happily stay here again. Thanks for making the week so nice!
