This was our second hotel out of four during a two-week Cambodia holiday. The first impression was pleasant, but the staff turned the stay bitter. Our room had no hot water from day one, and nobody fixed it before checkout. The telephone line also never worked, and I ended up catching a cold after bathing in cold water. We rented a motorbike for two days, but its engine had trouble. Even after it failed to start on the last day, the hotel held our passport until we paid the rental company in full, and staff gave us no help resolving the issue. Our booking included free two-way airport transport and daily rides to the city center. We hadn’t used the city service at check-in or during the first two days, but on our final day they asked us to pay for the ride. We had agreed to pay half a room rate to check out six hours late, yet just as we were about to get in the tuktuk, management said we had to pay for that evening’s ride because we had checked out. Kiri Residence shows how a hotel with good facilities can still give guests a bitter experience. The staff hid their unprofessionalism behind smiles.

We spent five nights here and had a great time. Although it’s far from Angkor, we rode bicycles throughout our stay, which made visiting the temples a great experience. It was one of the best value hotels we’ve had in months. The staff were super friendly and helpful, even arranging our bus station pickup. Breakfast was tasty, and the facilities were just right for relaxing. There’s a free tuktuk into town from 6PM to 8PM. We really recommend it, thank you!

The big balcony was a real plus, especially with the outdoor bathtub. I also enjoyed the comfortable bed, tasty breakfast, nice pool, and great staff.

We were quite satisfied. The price was cheap and the service good, and our room was clean. Kiri's food was good too, and our tuktuk driver with Kiri was very good. The hotel is off the main road, though, so you pretty much have to take a tuktuk everywhere.

The food was good, and the hotel has nice gardens outside, tucked away from the main street. The gardens and water features also bring in a lot of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray.
