My friends and I stayed two nights in two separate rooms. In my room, there was fresh blood on the pillowcase and sheets, including what looked like a large amount of period blood. The front desk refused my request for clean sheets, saying they were fully booked and had none spare. They gave me a new pillowcase, and I asked for clean towels to sleep on, which they provided. The breakfast was just okay, with a worse selection than I’ve had at cheaper hotels. My friend’s air conditioning barely worked, and the TV didn’t work for two days, even after the staff were told. The staff were kind, but the dirty linens issue was never resolved, and I wasn’t satisfied. I’d suggest bleaching all the bed linens to avoid poor hygiene for guests.

Careful, this felt like a scam. We bought a ticket for the AMMCO Bus at reception, which we understood was the official place to buy one in Siem Reap. But instead of a bus, an old five-seat SUV picked us up. A few kilometers later, 11 other people joined us in the same car. We spent almost three hours packed into it on the way back to Thailand, to Surin. We later learned the AMMCO Bus service had been suspected for a while. Reception staff didn’t tell us anything and even said no when we asked if we’d just be riding in a stuffed car instead of a bus. I suggest avoiding this hotel if you want honest treatment.

Everything was fine apart from two things: there were tons of mosquitoes in the room, and loud guests yelled all night. The part that surprised me most was leaving without taking one of those mugs.

Not a bad hotel. It has a refreshing view, a relaxed feel, and a large area. It’s one of the oldest hotels in Siem Reap Angkor City.
