Nika's House

We especially liked the windowless room because it stayed cool while the heat outside was raging. The beds are soft, rooms are affordable, clean and comfortable, and the host is super friendly. Breakfast is decent, with fresh fruit every morning, and it’s quiet at night. There’s also very cheap laundry and a lovely, private, clean pool in the backyard. The market and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, with lovely little places to eat and drink around the corner in a nice neighbourhood. One tip: book via booking.com. The Agoda and Expedia listings are old, and those platforms have refused to take the accommodation offline despite the owner asking for more than two years. For a reliable booking, use booking.com :)

We wished we could have stayed longer than our seven days. The owners were amazing, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Three days in a row, they even packed breakfast for us because we were heading out to see sunrise at the Angkor temples. Our room was spacious and really clean, with very good air conditioning. The beautiful garden pool was perfect for cooling off after a big day visiting the temples. 100% recommended!

Breakfast in the garden was lovely, surrounded by all sorts of plants in a beautiful setting. I also had my laundry done here and hired a tuk-tuk through the hotel to visit Angkor Wat. I walked into town and back at night as a solo female and never felt unsafe. The manager, or maybe owner, is friendly and seems to enjoy the job, always making sure you have what you need. I enjoyed my time at Nika’s and wish I could have stayed longer. Hope I can return someday with a less packed itinerary.

The host was friendly and helpful, and the location is beautiful. Rooms were clean and had air conditioning. Delicious breakfast and a fantastic pool!
