Urbanstay Haeundae Station

The location and view seem to be what they're selling, but there are much better places nearby that actually offer service. This place depends on technology for everything, has no front desk, and you have to call for help, but they don't speak English. On arrival you need to call to get the elevator and room codes, and the passcode setup is confusing. The rooms were dirty, dusty and dated, and they charge extra for everything. There's a hallway camera watching people come and go, which could be for safety, but it still felt intrusive.

We used email whenever we needed something, and the hotel replied efficiently. There was no front desk, but the elevator and room codes arrived before we got there, and after a bit of initial confusion the process was easy. The location was perfect, right above the train station, with plenty of nearby restaurants at reasonable prices. Haeundae beach is about a five minute walk, which we really enjoyed. We stayed six nights and found the bed comfortable, the kitchen complete and the living room nice. They don't clean the room unless you pay extra, and without a shower curtain the bathroom got very wet after use.

I would've stayed longer if there'd been a washing machine and cleaning service. Aside from that, I had a great stay.

The service was awful, and we couldn't even get into our room. Worst hotel I've ever encountered.
