WOW Motel

We arrived by taxi around 11 PM for a private guesthouse room, with check-in listed from 5 PM. Staff said nobody had arrived yet, that a cleaner had just been sent to our room, and that we’d have to wait. We hadn’t known when we’d arrive, but they had apparently overbooked. We were tired office workers and had no idea how long we’d be kept waiting. We complained to the front desk several times. The female manager kept apologizing and telling us to wait, without offering a solution. I heard the male manager mumbling behind us. We were angry, and I may have raised my voice, but we stayed within reason and didn’t swear at her. We both work in service, rarely get angry, and I’m the sort who’d excuse a server spilling a drink on my clothes. Are we black consumers? The room was cleaned around 11:30, but at 11:08 we’d already contacted Yeogi Eottae to ask for a refund and got the booking cancelled and refunded. Staff said they couldn’t call to arrange it, so we had to figure it out ourselves. My group held back, but the female owner suddenly started crying, and we even apologized. As we were about to get our refund, the male owner asked if we really wouldn’t stay now that the room was clean. The female owner tried to stop us. Did you really want us to stay, boss? This was shared in the public interest, not to be malicious or defamatory. These are just the facts. The owners clearly hadn’t learned how to handle customer service. For dissatisfied customers, they should calmly recognize the complaint is about the service, listen and empathize to find its cause, consider possible solutions, then explain the result and wrap things up.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was included, and the rooms had large TVs and nice bathrooms. It’s a good new hotel, and I’d recommend it without hesitation. The location is a little inconvenient, though, and there’s a big, unattractive vacant lot beside the building that will probably be developed.

I stayed here on a business trip to Busan and had a pleasant check-in thanks to the very friendly lobby staff. They even upgraded my room. The interior felt a bit dated, but it had everything I needed. I was disappointed by the limited bathroom amenities and the poor cleanliness.

The room smelled pleasant as soon as I walked in, which put me in a good mood. I was very happy with the soft, thin robe and the comfortable bedding. The Styler air purifier and large TV were great, too. I think I’ll use this place often.
