Hotel Cozy

For my three-day, two-night trip to Chuncheon, I booked a room at The Hotel Cozy and was glad I did. It’s an affordable option for staying a few days, and it’s close to Chuncheon Myeongdong Street, known for Chucheon Dakgalbi.

This place needs remodeling. There are plenty of hotels in Choocheon.

Of the hotels I’ve visited in January, this was the worst. I brought my family hoping we could relax, but around 10 p.m. cigarette smoke started coming into the room. I might have put up with it if it had passed quickly, but after 30 minutes I called to report it because there were elementary school children with us. They told us to move, and I think it was about 11 p.m. lol. I was caught off guard because nothing clearly said the hotel allowed smoking. We were exhausted, so we asked to switch rooms the next day, but they refused. They even said they couldn’t guarantee the other room would be smoke-free. When I called again in the morning, they yelled at us. The smell kept us awake even with the exhaust fan running, so we ended up moving the next day. At least they refunded half the money.

It’s right on a main road, not tucked away in an alley. Having a separate desk in the room was really convenient.
