The complimentary breakfast was great, and the service, rooms, and facilities were all outstanding. It's a new hotel and totally awesome. I'll come back next time I'm in the Daegu area.

I only stayed one night. It was very quiet, being halfway up a small mountain, and the room was clean. There was enough parking as well.

Breakfast was included, with Korean dishes like rice, soup, seasoned vegetables, kimchi, a fried egg, and spicy pork bulgogi. At 100,000 KRW per day, it felt like great value.

I’m a member of Galbat Catholic Church. Someone I knew from my hospital days was a prominent person here, and I understand Punggyeongchae’s building owner has been involved in power abuse. The nearby barley-dried fish restaurant is one place I’d avoid. There are problematic places around the country, among Protestants, Buddhists, and others. Still, the people I’ve encountered have been kind, including a Baptist writer who runs a provincial lodging business. I’ve also heard there are Baptists here, though the Credit Union is an exception.
