The proprietor was friendly and let me have the VIP suite for the regular room rate, even though the place was busy and full apart from that suite. I’d only been looking for somewhere to spend the night. It’s a clean, ordinary Korean love motel. I usually give a nice average hotel three stars, but the hospitality earns it an extra one.
For 50k won, I got a room for four people. It’s beautiful and really big, though a bit old. With all the accessories included, it’s a reasonable choice. You can try it if you come to Daejeon!
Hollywood Motel has a reasonable price and is comfortable. KAIST is close, about a 15 to 20 minute walk. There are some unusual features, like red ambient lighting, a spacious bathtub, a personal computer, a big wide LED TV, and an extra surround sound system. The room smelled of cigarettes at first, and the motel is tucked in an alley instead of on the main road. For the price, I’d recommend it as a reasonable place to stay in Daejeon.
They left out coffee, green tea, and cookies every day, and the hotel had all the facilities I needed. Nice place.
It felt warm and cozy, though a few of the extra facilities need checking or repairs.
