Romantic Trip

The location made it easy to get around: the bus station is a short walk away, and the hostel sits between the old and new parts of town, so shops, the Tombs, and other sights are accessible. Staff were great, and there was a comfortable lounge and free laundry on the ground floor. The room had a comfortable bed, desk, table and chairs, a fridge, and underfloor heating, which helped with the cold. It was spacious enough. There was also a TV with several on-demand accounts, but I couldn't get them working. I don't speak Korean and didn't try very hard, so you may have better luck. A few things made the room less comfortable: the window faced another building and let in almost no daylight, so I needed the light on even during the day. The only room light I could find was harsh and very bright, with no adjustment. The floor heating got the room warmer than I like, and the fridge was quite loud. There's no elevator, so you'll have to carry your bags upstairs. Price-wise, I paid more than I expected for this type of place, possibly because I booked over Lunar New Year weekend. Future prices I saw were still a little higher than I'd normally pay, though not awful. I wouldn't give a blanket recommendation, but I wouldn't tell someone to stay elsewhere either. Consider the price and how much time you plan to spend in the room.
