The owner was very kind, and the room was spotless. Even with a heavy rain warning, I slept through the thunder, lightning, and rain because the soundproofing was so good. The room faces Seokmodo Island, with a pleasant view, and there's a seaside walking path connected to the property.

There are lots of seagulls right by the ocean, and they can make it a bit noisy. Guests get a discount coupon for the restaurant downstairs, but keep in mind it closes at 9 PM.

The surroundings are quiet, and there's a convenience store right across the street, which is handy. The sea is directly in front, though you can't see it in the dark; it's visible in the morning. For a family of four, the room has only ondol, with four sets of bedding provided. It stays warm, and the bathroom is spacious. The place seems a little old, and the refrigerator is small. They provide water, instant coffee, and green tea.

The bedding was spotless, and the bathroom was one of the cleanest I've come across in a motel. I also appreciated the large fire escape signs on the doors. After spending time around Gyodong Island, I found Ganghwa Beach Motel at an affordable price. The night before I'd slept badly in a worn-down jjimjilbang, but the warm ondol room here gave me a wonderful night's rest.
