Incheon The Hotel Yeongjong

Reception staff were kind, and the room was quiet with a large TV. It was spacious and clean, including the bathroom. They brought free bottled water, instant coffee, and soap each day. There was plenty of fire safety equipment, and the electric heating cover on the beds was very useful. It’s near Unseo station, Daiso, emart convenience stores, and other restaurants, and the price is good value. The downsides were a view of a wall and no kitchen utensils.

This was a cheap, decent spot for one night by the airport, just what I needed for a quick stay without extras. Service was basically nonexistent: hand over your passport for verification, get the key, and that’s it, with no communication. The beds were decent and the washroom was reasonably clean. It feels older, but for this price it does the job.

There are lots of food and leisure options around the hotel, with a park just a few minutes away. We found The Coffee Roasting Man there, which has specialty coffee, and Bronx was nearby for craft beer. Unseo station is about a 5-10 minute walk, handy if you want to explore Seoul while staying near the airport. Basic amenities are provided, and daily housekeeping kept the rooms clean.

Updated 1/11/2025: Nothing has changed. The older uncle is still at the front desk, and this is still one of those airport-area hotels that won’t let guests check in before 3pm, regardless of what works for them. It’s rigidly following its own rules, and that’s crap. The beds now have electric blankets or mattress heating. Original review, 2 years ago: What a mean hotel. Our room was ready, but at 12.30pm they still wouldn’t let us check in until 3pm. They wanted 10,000 KRW for every hour of early check-in. Go to DK AIRTEL instead, they’re awesome about early check-ins.
