I've been coming back to this place in Seoul since 2014. It's in a handy spot for getting to just about everything a tourist might want to see, and there's lots of food right outside the gate, plus a nearby convenience store and grocery shop. The rooms are always clean and the beds comfortable, which is why it's still my favorite place to stay here.

Yaksu station, served by Lines 3 and 6, is just a minute away on foot, and grocery shopping is easy with Yaksu market and more than three midsize supermarkets around the corner. There are also good restaurants, coffee shops, and a bakery nearby. Maebongsan observatory deck is about a 20-minute walk, with great Seoul views and well-built walking trails along the way. My husband and I spent a month at Agit guesthouse. The room wasn't especially spacious, but Chulwoo and his partner Jiwoo were so welcoming that it became one of our best guesthouse and homestay experiences. I liked working in the common area in the mornings and sometimes got to try the delicious food Jiwoo made. It was a relaxing, recharging month for me.

The owners were friendly, the rooms were in great condition, and the place was tidy with useful facilities. The cats were big and cute, too. I could keep listing things I liked, though I don't have the words to describe them all. It felt like home, not just somewhere to sleep. Definitely a bargain, and a guesthouse I'd recommend to people staying in Seoul or traveling farther.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and their tips on where to go, getting around, and what to eat were genuinely useful. Staying here felt more like visiting friends than checking into a hotel. I'll come back.
