Anook Hotel and Spa Seoul Jongno Anguk 1st

Warning, this wasn’t a peaceful stay at all. The walls are horribly thin. We were woken at 3 in the morning by our room shaking as someone refilled the hotel towels with a rusty trolley. On the first floor, you’re close to a parking area and alley, so you hear everything outside, including trucks beeping and people screaming. If you’re given a room on the first or second floor, ask to move to the third floor or higher. We paid quite a lot for an upgraded room, expecting a cozy private sauna. The hotel advertises a sauna, but what we got was a bathtub, just a bath. The tub hadn’t even been cleaned properly: a big piece of dead skin floated up while we were using it and ruined the mood. The photo I added is supposedly the sauna. What a joke. The place felt like a cheap motel. I’d highly recommend staying somewhere else.
