Bangbae Hotel 2001

This reminded me of what we'd call a love hotel in Japan, though in Korea motels seem to be used for business too. I was surprised that the heating didn't work. Netflix wasn't available, but Samsung TV was. I used the humidifier and electric kettle quite a bit, but neither got warm. I was also worried about setting off the fire alarm, so I stopped trying. Hot water did come through the shower if you waited, but it was so hot that adjusting it was difficult. Maybe it gets too hot in summer too, I'm not sure. Since it was a day-use hotel, I put up with it. Next time I'll try a capsule hotel at the airport.

I found this place in a hurry after coming in from out of town and missing my bus home. The room was small, but it made good use of the space and was nice. The only letdown was the hair dryer, which seemed pretty old. Otherwise, I was happy with it.

I checked out a little late and the owner got extremely annoyed and told me to leave. They were unfriendly and short-tempered, and I have no desire to come back.

The soundproofing is poor, and the unfriendly attitude seems to be part of the usual experience. In winter it's so cold that sleeping is impossible. I wouldn't stay here then.
