Baron de Paris Hotel

We booked for three people, but when we arrived we found we'd been given a double room, with no way to add another bed. The hotel staff treated us badly. I wouldn't sleep here again, even if they paid me.

The best thing about the place was its location near plenty of restaurants and shops in the Sinchon area, as well as various hospitals for consultations or procedures. But if you want somewhere to check into and get a few hours of rest before going out to explore, this probably isn't it. We stayed three nights as a couple. We hadn't realized before arriving that check-in was at 9pm. They did let us leave our things at the hotel beforehand, which we appreciated, though a designated secure luggage area would have been ideal. The room we had for the first night was booked for someone else for the rest of our stay, so we were asked to check out and move into another room that same day. At first we were asked to pay extra, but the manager/owner later took that back, so we paid no additional charge. Luckily, the new suite was better than the one we'd left. The walls are paper thin. We could hear other guests having a good go at, well, you can guess, and what sounded like enthusiastic PC players yelling at 2am. I understand the excitement, but that was a lot.

The owner is kind, but there were several issues. In the suite, the bedroom and bathroom are laid out in a straight line with no door between them. The window lock didn't work, which made me uneasy, and the computer didn't perform to the specifications we'd been told. The wallpaper seemed cracked with age and had been covered by a small sofa, which wasn't very good either.

This is the worst motel I've stayed in recently. The computer had stains, the bedding looked yellowish, as if it hadn't been washed properly, and there was mold in the shower stall.
