It was clean and had everything I needed, and the people there were awesome. The place felt like home, so I was happy to stay for a week and call it mine. What really earned the five stars was the owner, who comes by from morning until afternoon. He's very kind and helpful, with ideas for things to do. I don't have anything negative to say.
Despite all the perfect reviews, the whole place tells a different story. The owner needs to clean it. Please be careful.
The bathroom was meticulously clean, and that sold me right away. I've stayed at quite a few places in Seoul, and this is at the top of the guesthouse game. There are lots of common spaces with potential, though there wasn't much socializing. To be fair, even at another place in the middle of a clubs-and-bars area, nobody socialized. The bunk beds aren't the sturdiest, so it can be hard to sleep if the other person moves around at night.
It's easy to meet people here if you're traveling alone. I met some by joining one of their programs, and the owner helps make the atmosphere comfortable. The area is quiet and close to Hongdae, and the rooms are very clean. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, too. Breakfast is worth getting up early for. Best guesthouse in Seoul.
Reina and her team are super fun, and the hostel has a very social atmosphere that's great for meeting fellow travelers. It's a lovely house near the subway and Hongdae street. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.
