The rooms made me suspect that hygiene is seriously neglected, even though this place is near a tourist attraction. An old building is no excuse, cleanliness should be a basic standard for any lodging. It feels like they may just straighten the bedding after hourly rentals and take overnight guests without properly cleaning the rooms.

This is my third stay, and it’s one of the most comfortable places I’ve found in Seoul. I come back often when work brings me here. I think they’ve added an annex recently, and it was nice to get a room there for a low price. The interior is modern and pretty, with black wood tones. It isn’t spotless like a five-star hotel, but each time I’ve visited it’s been clean enough that I haven’t had any problems. Comfort and cleanliness for this price can vary from person to person, but I think this is one of the few places that gets both right. If you need somewhere nearby for an appointment or just a short break, I recommend Jongno Boutique K Hotel. Disposable items cost 1,700 won, so bring your own personal things.
