Travel House

Our flight was delayed by a day because of the weather. After waiting 12 hours at the airport, our ticket was canceled, and we couldn’t fly to Seoul on the date of our hotel reservation. We asked the hotel to cancel or postpone the booking, but they refused and didn’t help us find a middle ground. With all the other travel costs and inconvenience, we were very upset that we couldn’t get any support.

We had three beds in our room, and it was very comfortable. The owners were quick to respond when we had questions. There are plenty of amenities, and a 7-eleven is right next door for anything you need at the last minute. It’s in a very convenient spot, right across the street from Seoul station, so you can get anywhere. This is an apartment stay, not a hotel. It’s spacious for Seoul, but anyone expecting room service or someone to take out the trash should book a hotel. The notice about calling the owners if you hear a knock is a little sketchy, though it didn’t put us off.

The room has the things you need, including a washing machine, iron, dryer, dishes, and toaster. There’s a supermarket and Starbucks downstairs, plus a large supermarket across the street. The windows look out directly over Seoul and an overpass. Most useful of all, it’s right across the Seoul Station passage, so the subway and trains are nearby. The room is dated, though, with old bathroom tiles, and the ventilation doesn’t work well.

Our flight from Türkiye to Korea was cancelled because of weather and overbooking. We couldn’t find another flight, and they still didn’t refund us even though circumstances beyond our control stopped us from coming. Please give us our money back!
