The bathroom was the worst part. Black mold had spread around the floor and toilet, and the poor ventilation and drainage meant a shower flooded the whole room, toilet included. Keep extra towels handy. The odd metal sliding bathroom doors had frosted glass over most of them. I stayed a few nights in Seoul and had hoped the other reviews were exaggerating. They weren't. The room and furniture looked old, marked up, and stained, hopefully with food. The air conditioner smelled awful, probably moldy too, so it felt like choosing between traffic fumes and mold. I'm moderately allergic and usually don't react unless conditions are bad, but every time I came back I had a strong cough that kept going. Everything seemed dusty and dirty. It looked like only easy-to-reach spots had been cleaned, or even attempted. I kept all my belongings in my suitcase because I was worried they'd get contaminated. I'm not usually fussy, and I know this is a big-city hotel, but it was awful. It looked more like small apartments for residents, and I doubt they did proper cleaning or renovations before turning them into a hotel. Maybe they do it depending on demand. The entrance has a public toilet, so its doors stay open around the clock. For your own sake, spend your money somewhere else.
