Coups Hotel

The main drawback was the strong smell of smoke throughout the place. Rooms were okay, but the beds were very hard. The window seemed more decorative than useful. The air conditioning was right above the bed, so it got too cold to leave on all night and too warm without it. Housekeeping came every day and did a very good job. Water, coffee, and hot or cold tea were free, and there’s a 7eleven just steps away.

There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, including a food street and barbecue restaurants where lots of young locals hang out. The location is good, though the hotel can be tricky to find. Naver map may lead you around the building, but once you spot 7E, you’re very close to the entrance.

The owner was nice and helpful, and for a two-star hotel I have no complaints. It’s small, in a desirable location, and the room was small as expected. There was a cigarette smell, and you can hear through to the other side of the room.

The owner kindly let us leave our luggage before check-in so we could go out and explore. The rooms were a bit dusty. It’s a good place to stay if you’ll be out most of the day.
