Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Myeongdong

I appreciated the in-room water filters, a simple way to cut down on plastic bottles that I wish more hotels would use. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the shared spaces were clean and absolutely beautiful. Employees were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. My Marriott status included it for free, which was a nice perk. The hotel sits in the busy city, close to subway and bus stations, night markets, sightseeing, and plenty of food and drink spots. Getting around on public transit was easy. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We were celebrating our 13-year anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary wine. That made an already memorable stay feel even more special. The staff were polite, friendly, and incredibly helpful the whole time. The hotel is within walking distance of Myeongdong, shopping, and lots of other places, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. Our room was cozy, and the facilities were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the café and breakfast, and 22 Café has some of the best views of Seoul and Namsan Tower. Highly recommend!

The subway is just a few steps from the hotel, making it an ideal base for seeing Seoul. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We also thought the facilities were wonderful, including the restaurant, cafe, business center, and lobby bar.

Namdaemun Market was right across the street, and we went there often during our five days in Seoul. There were plenty of restaurants and a convenience stall nearby, plus a BHC Korean fried chicken joint downstairs for anyone who likes that. Train access made it easy to get around, and the staff were polite and professional. The room was pleasant, with a spacious shower, smart TV, and, since we booked the larger room, some extra space. I also liked having an in-room water filter for as much drinking water as we wanted. There were some visible old marks, but they’ve clearly tried to improve the place. The one letdown was the view. We expected to see at least some of N Seoul Tower, but our '05' room was blocked by the neighboring building. I think rooms '22' to '29' or '01' to '03' may have a better chance of a view.
