Crown Park Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

The location is good and the room is comfortable, but the service left me uneasy. An uncle who is usually on Level 1 spoke rudely when telling us no more water could be provided, saying it was “impossible.” He also kept insisting our “Do Not Disturb” setting was why the doorbell didn't work. It was off and the bell still failed. He tried it himself, but didn't believe us. We left the “Make Up Room” sign on, and all three of us saw it lit before we went out. When we came back after a long day, the room hadn't been tidied and the setting had somehow changed to “Do Not Disturb.” We called the front desk five times around 11:30 p.m. with no answer. At reception there was just one staff member, who could only give us new slippers, towels, and bottled water. This happened the day after the doorbell issue, so I'm not sure if that uncle was upset about it. I can't recommend staying here. It didn't feel trustworthy, and after upsetting that uncle, who knows what might happen, as the “Do Not Disturb” incident showed.

The room was tiny, so this felt like a pretty average hotel overall. The staff were welcoming and great, though, and the location is convenient for the shopping districts and Lotte mall.

The room was small, as expected, but well maintained and equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, this central spot is a good deal: fairly close to Seoul Station, beside Lotte shopping centre, and within walking distance of several attractions. Airport limousine stops for trips to and from Incheon airport are very close too. I'd recommend it.

After three stays, Crown Park Hotel is still the place I look forward to returning to in Seoul. It's right in Myeongdong, close to shops, restaurants, transport, and the lively parts of the area, yet my stay was quiet and peaceful. Prices are great, the comfort is excellent, and I wouldn't pick another hotel. The staff make a real difference. The lovely woman on the first floor was just as kind and caring this year as she was last year, which meant a lot after a long journey. My room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The bed is so cozy that I sleep better here than at any other hotel I've tried.
