Dmc Ville Serviced Apartment

We'd been happy with the staff and service on past visits to Korea, but this time at dmc vill was so bad that I can't recommend it. The new management seems irresponsible and unfriendly, and the place is going downhill. The staff member who showed us the unit was defensive, didn't help with our luggage, and talked about the mattress before we even asked. He said they couldn't replace it, and that if we didn't like it we should buy another one, which they could remove and store in their building. We hadn't had bed problems here before, and no one had brought it up on our first day in the past. If the mattress is bad, I think that's the hotel's responsibility. After one night we found it was awful, hard as a rock, the worst bed we'd ever slept on despite traveling a lot. We planned to buy a mattress ourselves just to sleep properly, but then they said they had no storage space. Why change their answer within two days? The staff member also said the company didn't make enough money, which wasn't something he should be telling guests. Good staff should explain what they can do, not just what they can't. The unit was freezing when we arrived because the heating didn't work, and we had to wait for technicians to fix it. Why hadn't management checked it before we got there? Cleaning was also worse than before. The only staff we found nice and responsible were in the cafeteria, and I appreciate them. The pool has been under construction for two years, which I don't understand in Korea, where things can be done quickly. Something seems seriously wrong. This place is owned by Seoul Housing Corporation (SH), so it's partly run with tax money. Seoul Housing Corporation chose the new management company, and I don't know why they picked such a troublesome one. Seoul Housing Corporation is under right-wing mayor Oh Sehoon (Oh Se-hoon). Something feels fishy. The former president, Yoon, from the same party as mayor Oh Se-hoon, and his government were widely known to be deeply corrupt. Maybe foreign residents should petition and file a formal complaint. I'm really angry that the current management takes money from residents and the city of Seoul without providing decent service.

A pleasant place to stay in DMC Digital City, with a clean, tidy setting and a very kind service team. The interiors have gotten old, though, and some window seals were broken. The team still tried hard to help and sort things out. English-speaking support and information were very good. Thanks for making my time in Seoul a bit better 🙏.

We spent four weeks here as a family and found the stay mostly pleasant, with things reasonably well maintained. The pool and gym could have used more staff. Weekdays include a basic Western-style breakfast in the cafeteria. Shopping is a bit of a trek, around a 20-25 minute walk to supermarkets, though buses connect well. It worked for our needs, but if we'd been traveling without kids, we'd probably have chosen somewhere livelier.

A really good place for foreigners to live, with lots of amenities, friendly staff, and no massive deposit to pay.
