Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Station

The only things I liked were the walk to Seoul Station, about 15 minutes at an easy pace, and the No. 4 line, less than five minutes away. I couldn’t find anything else appealing about this supposedly four-star hotel. In the first room, the shower pressure was so poor there wasn’t enough flow for a decent shower, and in February the hot water was inconsistent too. Turning the faucet further toward hot would cut the flow off altogether. Their technician spent 15 minutes fiddling with it and didn’t resolve anything. The front desk blamed a shared pipeline instead of offering a solution, though the water flow was well below decent and seemed clearly unrelated to that. The replacement room on the same floor surprisingly had much better pressure. Other equipment was unreliable too. The automatic toilet didn’t work as it should, the window mesh jammed even though I handled it gently, and the bedside universal sockets were installed so only one could be used. They did eventually move me, but the damage to the hotel’s image was done. This would be my first and last stay.

I’ve used this hotel for work and for family vacations, and it’s always been easy to get around Seoul from here. I usually have to book two separate rooms for our family of four. I’d love a lounge for VIPs or suites for families, though maybe they just book up early. The hotel is older, and there’s visible wear in the room and shower, but I’ll still choose it again when I visit.

My family and I stayed one night and had a good experience. There’s a direct underpass to the KTX station, and the location was excellent and convenient. The staff were attentive and considerate. They even changed my large notes into smaller notes and coins so I could use the laundry. Thank you for a good stay.

The 19F bar was really comfortable. The space was clean and well optimized, and the service was calm and kind. The location is perfect, right beside Seoul Station.
