The neighborhood was quiet, and it worked fine for a short stay. The woman who checked me in was kind, though the property could have been cleaner. My bed was small and uncomfortable, and the two bathrooms on my floor were tiny and cramped. It's okay for a simple overnight visit, but I wouldn't stay longer.

It was affordable and easy to reach by bus, and the metro station was nearby. But the bed was hard enough to give me back pain, and the toilets and bathrooms were dirty. There wasn't anyone available for check-in. I could get into the building by following other hostel guests, but I couldn't reach the staff the day before my stay, even by phone. They showed up the next day, and the responsible staff were very slow to respond.

Four Seasons House is in the lively Hongdae neighborhood, with great food and entertainment all around. The rooms are clean and well kept, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Before my check-in date, they even got in touch with directions for reaching the hostel based on how I planned to travel. I'd recommend it for a first visit to South Korea.

It's affordable, with good hospitality, and close to many of Seoul's well-known places. A good option for backpackers, though I wouldn't say it's suitable for families.
