The 9th floor was a rough start: mold on the walls, dim lighting, dust on some surfaces, and the room opened onto the air conditioning vents. During heavy rain, water also leaked through the ceiling. I asked to move and got a room on the 5th floor, which had better light and less mold. The receptionist who helped me was very cooperative. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels, and check-in and checkout were simple. The location is convenient, within walking distance of Gangnam and Yeoksam-dong subway stations. There are convenience stores nearby, and the neighborhood felt safe. For a boutique hotel, I thought it was worth the price, though some renovation would be welcome.

I stayed here before covid and the rooms were nice then. When I came back four years later, they smelled of smoke and weren’t clean. There were lots of leaks in the pipes and ceilings, including in the bathroom, and there was a bad smell too. The location is great, but that’s all. I’m not going back :(

It’s clean and well located, though there’s nothing luxurious about it. From a European point of view, I’d call it a decent three-star hotel.

A decent, inexpensive place, and close to the train station.
