Golden Hill

Hwan is so nice and helpful, and I want to send him more business. The rooms are good and there's hot water. The location is cosy and convenient, with good restaurants on every corner and all around. Hongdae is a five-minute drive away, or about a 30-35 minute walk. I'll stay again.

The rooms are small, like hotels in Seoul generally, but I've never had such helpful service. Staff arranged a 10 am early check-in after our painful overnight flight, which was a huge relief, and also set up a late checkout on departure day. A very good experience.

For this price, it was much better than I expected. The location is good, the place was very quiet and pretty clean, and the staff were awesome and really helpful.

I stayed three nights and wouldn't book this hotel again. The location is about a ten-minute uphill walk from Sinchon Station, with a convenience store next door. There was construction beside the hotel, and weekday work started early enough to wake anyone who sleeps late. The room was basic and dated, the toilet was very old, and cleanliness was lacking. Getting to the elevator meant climbing two or three very small steps; it only went to the fourth floor, so the fifth floor meant more stairs, again with very small steps. The staff spoke Chinese, but they were impatient and had a poor attitude when I asked questions. They could have smiled, or at least been a bit more patient. This is the same hotel as Sinchon Gaon Hostel.
