Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel and Residences Seoul Yongsan

Getting around for work was straightforward: the hotel connects directly by a sheltered route to Yongsan Station, with KTX and Lines 1 and Gyeongui–Jungang, and I could reach business districts and the airport infrastructure efficiently. I'Park Mall next door made it easy to pick up supplies, visit a pharmacy, or find a good meal without going outside. The modern gym and indoor pool were also welcome ways to unwind after long workdays, and the staff kept service discreet, efficient, and professional throughout my month there. I spent 32 nights at Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel and Residences Seoul Yongsan on a long business assignment. The suite worked well as a temporary home office, with plenty of room for a proper workspace, stable high-speed Wi-Fi for global calls and deadlines, and daily housekeeping to keep things tidy and distraction-free. Having a full kitchen and an in-suite washer/dryer saved time I’d otherwise have spent on outside services. For a long Seoul assignment, it’s a spacious, connected base that supports both productivity and comfort. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to executives and other corporate travelers.

Getting around Seoul was easy, with most places about 10-30 minutes away by taxi. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable with our baby. The staff were wonderful, especially Katarina Kim, who was always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. We loved our stay and would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Pauline, the French Customer Experience Manager, made our 20th anniversary trip unforgettable. She learned what we were celebrating and put together a lovely surprise with personal touches and a handwritten note. She put so much care into it and greeted us warmly whenever we came back. Erik also went out of his way to help: I needed to buy some items for my car, but ordering online was hard because I don’t speak Korean. When the online purchase didn’t work, he contacted the company and arranged delivery to the nearest shop. We stayed 13 nights at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel in Seoul, and the room felt like our own home. It had everything for a longer stay, including a washing machine, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, freezer, pots, pans, cutlery, knives, and a cutting board. The hotel was clean, housekeeping did a great job, and service stayed consistently strong. Yongsan Station was walkable, and the sauna and gym were well maintained. Every staff member we met was polite, helpful, and professional. We highly recommend the hotel for its location, cleanliness, facilities, and service. People like Pauline and Erik are what made the experience so memorable.

It was wonderful that our family of four could stay in a two-bedroom suite, and that we could bring our dog into the dedicated pet-friendly rooms on the 20th floor. The staff were incredibly kind and showed so much affection for our Coco. :)
