Gudo Residence Chungmuro

After long days touring, the shower flow felt like a spa, and the beds were very comfortable. The two-bedroom space was good, and the place was welcoming, clean, quiet, and relaxing, with great amenities.

One night I noticed a strong gas smell in my room, and the hotel offered no help at all. There was no reception or staff on site, and nobody could come check what was happening. I called for assistance, but the employee on the phone barely spoke English and didn’t understand me at first, which made an already frightening emergency even scarier. I left in the middle of the night and paid for another hotel myself, without any reimbursement. I had a terrifying experience here. Think twice before booking: if something serious happens, you’ll be on your own.

The washing machine and dryer were useful, but this place wasn’t worth the price. The room was cramped for four, with only two cups, three spoons, and not enough tableware. The cutlery, walls, and curtains were dirty. The sink was damaged, its faucet loose, and the water drained painfully slowly. Some sockets didn’t work either. There was no check-in guidance or advice about where to put the trash, so I had to figure everything out myself.

I couldn’t find any Wi-Fi details by the screens, even though that’s where the guest guide said they’d be. I emailed four times and called once, but nobody got back to me. That kind of service is unacceptable.
