The location and price are both good, but comfort isn't this place's strong point. My room felt cramped, and the bed was quite hard. They provide one bar of generic soap and some liquid soap, but no toothbrush or bottled water. There is a shared dispenser where you can fill up a bottle.
For a longer stay in Seoul without spending too much, I highly recommend this place. The friendly office staff were helpful, the internet was great, and the shared areas had what I needed to live there. My room was small, but clean and comfortable, with everything I needed laid out efficiently. It has card entry and is close to major public transport, including airport transport, as well as good shops and restaurants. Old BTS locations are also within walking distance. I booked a room with a washing machine because I was staying for quite a while. It was there, but disconnected, and they said it was an electricity issue on that floor. I was disappointed, though the common area machine worked well and wasn't busy in the middle of July.
Check-in and checkout were simple, with self-service for both. The room was small and didn't feel very clean, and the pillow was much too flat for us. The place itself felt gloomy and outdated, though things still worked. So-so.
I got good value here, as long as you don't expect much for the low price. Check-in was easy even though I arrived at 11pm, and the owners were nice, with a homestay feel. My room faced a small side street and stayed quiet. There's a cafe serving food on the 1st floor, and guests may find the side door easier to use. For single rooms, there's a nook with a washer, microwave, hot plate and hot/cold water. It's a short walk uphill from the bus stop to E-Residence. The shower smelled a little, but a ₩1000 air freshener from Daiso down the street took care of it. Bring your own toiletries. The fridge kept beer cold, but not my ice cream.
Really nice service and location. The room's a bit small, so I'd recommend it for a temporary stay.
